Sapps. I am a descendant of Henry Sapp who moved to Portage Co. from Maryland around 1799 and died in Ravenna in 1856. He had five sons: Daniel, John, Henry, Isaac, and Jacob. My branch (through John) remained in Ravenna until 1846 when they moved to Nebraska via Indiana. I am particularly interested in any references to Sapps in Portage Co. between the 1790s and 1850s. But since the farm remained in the family until 1958, I'm also interested in any information on Portage County Sapps. Of course, if anyone on this list is working on families with Sapps in them, I'd be interested in exchanging information.
