Don't know anything about this family but I do hope you know that Lorenzo Dow Jerome was almost certainly named after Lorenzo Dow, the great nineteenth century [Methodist?]evangelist. Dow was known as "Crazy" Dow for his unkempt ways and fervent evangelizing. I believe that there is a web site in his honor. I've read a couple of his sermons and they're earthy & intelligent. -----Original Message----- From: Kathy Funk [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Sunday, September 19, 1999 2:22 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [OHPORTAG-L] Children of Lorenzo Dow Jerome Dear Portage County friends, Here's another stumper. My great-great-great grandparents, Lorenzo Dow Jerome and Annis Ward of Rootstown (1820s - 1914) had several children. Their daughter, Alta Ophelia Jerome, is the only one I have a name / date for. I am sure she had at least three sisters. She probably had brothers, too. Does anyone have any information on the children of Lorenzo Dow and Annis Ward Jerome? (He is the son of Sylvester Jerome and Mary Latham Redfield) (She is the daughter of Calvin Ward and Lydia Sabin) I have lots of information on his ancestors and descendants. I'll send it all to you, as well as a big smile. Thanks for any help you can send my way! Kathy in Texas Genie Angels Volunteer http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~angels/
