Jan, Don't know if this helps at all, but I've transcribed the stones that could be read at West Lawn Cemetery in Brimfield, and there are 6 Carrier's in that cemetery. One was killed in the Civil War and is actually interred in Knoxville TN. Another has a GAR marker at his stone. Most of the settlers of Kent and Brimfield were from Connecticut, and this area was known as the Connecticut Western Reserve. I'll see what I can dig up about that for you.
