This is great and thank you in advance for your offer of assistance in regard to our Portage County ancestors. I am looking for anything on Briggs, especially the following: Asa Briggs, born August 28, 1778 in Vermont and supposedly died August 9, 1877. Not sure where he died. His first wife was Zebiah Williams Briggs, born November 17, 1812 in Massachusetts. Not sure when she died. His second wife was Abigail Tuttle Briggs. Not sure when she was born or died. I think her father was John Tuttle of Portage County. Their children (Asa and Zebiah) were Sally Maisson Briggs, born January 2, 1815, Vermont; Emory William Briggs, born June 18, 1819, Minerva Gratia Briggs, born January 12, 1823; (Asa and Abigail) Cardama Celia Briggs, born November 17, 1833 and Hiram Finley Briggs, born May 25, 1835.
