I am seeking information on Josiah Willard who was born about 1804, probably in Pawlet, Rutland Co., VT to Jonathan and Delia/Deliverance (Haskins) Willard. On 23 Dec. 1825 in Rupert, Bennington Co., VT, Jonathan married Abigail Lobdell who was born 16 Oct. 1803 in Danby, VT. In 1840 Josiah appears to be in Brimfield, Portage Co., OH. I think he died somewhere around 1850 and that Abigail is in the 1850 census for Shalersville, Portage Co., OH. I have not found Abigail in any other census until 1880 when she is living back in Vermont in Wells, Rutland Co., VT with a son, Myron. I have not been able to read the 1850 census entry for her on Ancestry.com. I am descended from their daughter Nancy Willard who married Augustus Willard Gilman here in Vermont. I would like to find out when and where Josiah died, the names of their other children, and their listings in the various censuses. Thanks for any help you can give me! Joann Nichols Brattleboro, VT
