I am trying to find information about Elizabeth Taylor Dyson and her family. She was b. 1807 Trumbull Co. (could possibly be Portage Co.) She m. 1825 James Dyson. She from Liberty, Trumbull Co. They lived in Trumbull Co., OH and Mercer Co., PA on and off until 1851 when they moved to Iowa. They had at least 18 children. James W. Dyson, their son, b. 1829 in Trumbull Co. m. Adaline E. Sigler. They stayed in the Trumbull Co. area when his parents moved to Iowa. He d. 1907 in Fowler. James Dyson's parents were Abraham and Polly Taylor Dyson. They came from Delaware to Portage Co. in 1804 with the John Garrett family. They were early settlers. Garrettsville is named for John Garrett. They lived near Hiram. Where did Abraham and Polly die and where are they buried? Who were the parents of Elizabeth Taylor? Was John F. Taylor her brother (as a boy he helped plant trees in Hiram in 1819)? Trumbull Co., OH Does anyone have information about George Taylor. He was on the tax lists for 1806, 1807, 1808??? John Taylor was on the tax lists for 1806-1809??? In 1809 he was on the tax list for Liberty Twp???? Robert Taylor was on the tax list for 1808???? William Taylor had a son Thomas Taylor. Thomas lived in Mercer Co., PA and moved to Jackson Co., IA in 1851. The Dyson's (Elizabeth and James) moved to Jackson Co., IA in 1851. Listed in the roll for War of 1812 is Oratto Taylor and Abraham Dyton (Dyson), Portage Co., OH. In 1827 Portage Co. took a count of white men over the age of 21 and Abraham Dyson living in Nelson twp (just east of Hiram twp) was listed. Does anyone have info about any of the Taylor's that lived in Portage and Trumbull Co.,'s after 1800 to about 1850? There were a lot of Taylor's there. Were they all related? If so, how?
