Hi Laura Ann: Northampton is a township presently in Summit County. Summit County was formed from Portage County in 1840. Portage County has existed since 1808. The death records begin in the 1860's for Portage County. If he died in Suffield, have you checked the cemetery books for Suffield? That is my only suggestion. Good luck. Jackie
