Our Jared Knowlton married Molly/Mary King in Massachusetts in 1792. They lived in Rensellaer county in the early 1800s, then emigrated to Portage county probably before 1810. The Kings may have been early settlers in Portage county. We believe Molly's parents, Robert King, Jr. and Rachel Knox King, and some siblings emigrated to Portage county about the same time as did Jared and Molly. But we have never researched the King family very thoroughly. Hope this gives you a lead to explore.
