I have a Joseph Shepherd who migrated from NJ to PA to the Portage County area between 1800 and 1820.  He had served in the NJ militia in the Revolutionary War and may have received land as a result.  He had a wife and son after 1810.  Her name was Sarah and the son was Ezekiel.  They lived in the Portage and Trumbull Co areas long enough I suspect land ownership.  Do you have any records of Joseph or family.  Their spelling may have been different and it could be possible that he really had a different first name.  Thanks. After reading through your information, it doesn't appear that we have any connection. At least none that I know of. I think that maybe you didn't copy the entire URL. Double check to make sure that you did that. The reason I think that is because the email might have put it on two different lines since it was so long. Did you copy both lines together?
