    1. Re: [OHPORTAG-L] Franklin Twp - Dewey, Reed, Archer, Poe, Russell, Williams, Gray, Ferry/Ferre

    3. Dear Jan, I realize that you are working on this one particular cemetery and it's records, but I was wondering if you know of anyone else working on other cemeteries in Chautauqua County? You see, I have a real dilema. In my ALLEN and HALL lines, I can find the males, but all of the females appear to missing from the gravesites. No one in Chautauqua County seems to be able to explain this rather strange situation. I've checked the on-line records for Portland twp and Poland twp and Ellery twp, which are all the locations that these families lived and presumedly died. What I do not know is: 1) How accurate are the records? 2) Are all the cemeteries accounted for? It would be really advantageous if the Chautauqua County Historical society would make all the cemetery records searchable so that one does not have to go cemetery by cemetery to look for records. If you have any suggestions, i'd appreciate your thoughts. 3. I am looking for the parents of Amelia HALL and Lydia Ann HALL who were married in Portage County, OHIO in April 12, 1847 and October 03, 1855 respectively. Amelia HALL married George C. MILLER and Lydia Ann HALL married Sumner Delos ALLEN, both of Chautauqua County, NY. Amelia and Lydia Ann also had a sister named Elizabeth who married William S. Bentley, also of Chautauqua County, NY. In the 1850 Census, a James Hall who may have been her father was living with the Bentleys in NY. There is also a James M. HALL born in Manchester, VT or Manchester, MA in 1799 who died in Portland, Chautauqua County, NY in 1889. He was a Civil War veteran and possibly the father of these three women. I would appreciate hearing from anyone researching HALLs in Portage Ohio who possibly recognizes this family. Ron Mlejnek Researching HALL and ALLEN of Portage County, OH and Chautauqua County, NY
