    2. Hi all, Here's a few more from a Circleville paper with no header Funeral of Hugh Egan: The funeral of Hugh F. Egan, editor of the Adelphi Border-News was held Wednesday, March 8. An immense throng of people gathered in the little village to attend the services. Members of the Red Men order, which the deceased was affiliated gathered from all over the state. Quite a number from this city were in attendance. Following a religious service at his home conducted by Rev. Father Halpin, the remains were taken to the city hall while the body lay in state for an hour preceding a public funeral service. Eulogies of the deceased were read by Judge Louis B. Houck, of Mt. Vernon, past great sachem, H. B. Chalfin, of Dennison, great sachem, Thomas Irwin, of Martins Ferry, great chief of records and E. P. Smith, of Waverly, past great sachem. Rev. Landsittle and Rev. Myers and George Witwer spoke feelingly of the loss of such a citizen to the community where he will be sorely missed. The city hall was filled to overflowing. Following the public funeral the remains were taken back to the home of the deceased where a short funeral service was conducted by Rev. Father Halpin and the remains were then removed to the Adelphi cemetery for interment. Ritualistic serviciis was conducted at the graveside by Judge Louis B. Houck for the Order of Red Men. Please note there is no date this appeared in the paper, but since it refers to the date of funeral, as March 8th, we can assume it was after that. -------------------------------------------- Mrs. Mary Greer Died at Home of Daughter of High Street Monday Morning.
