I was interested to see the replies to some of the questions that have come through the list, specifically: -- what early records are available for marriages, births, deaths, etc. and -- where would one write for a death certificate in Pickaway I know there were early probate records of marriages, but so far I only have ones that I have obtained through LDS or from CD's. I'd like to have copies of the original records where possible. I also know that birth & death records were generally not kept until 1867 in Ohio. But is there another earlier source that went county-by-county? And is there any substitute material that could be used other than wills and cemeteries? If anyone has any of this info, please respond to the list so everyone can have the answer....there might be someone else like me know wants to know. Thanks, Len
