Oct 7 1887 from The Democratic Watchman Terrible Explosion--Four Men Killed Last Wednesday about 1:30 p.m., the boiler of a portable saw mill belonging to Simon Young, located near Dutch Hollow, exploded, instantly killing Simon Young, Amos Young, George Lape and Perry Lape, who were employed at the mill, and seriously injuring Mrs. Simon Young, who was about sixty yards distant. George Lape's head was blown from his body. The killed were all all young married men.  Their burial took place at Dutch Hollow yesterday.
