Her illness had been a serious nature from the first, having been taken with rheumatism abut two months ago and the recent high waters in the River City only tended to aggravate her malady. Other complications arose and about three weeks ago typhoid fever developed. Her condition had been critical from the first but her family and friends had hoped against hope but to no avail. She was possessed of musical ability beyond the ordinary and was a very popular soloist during the some popular favor in the River City, having been engaged as a soloist in one of the churches. For a number of years she was the soprano at the St. Peter's catholic church. She removed to Portsmouth about a year ago with her husband. Beside her husband she is survived by her mother, who was at her bedside during her illness and two brothers, Arthur of this city and Henry of Springfield.
