    2. Hi All, Anyone looking for Surname Bouic? Seems he lived and worked in many different areas and therefore might be a bit tough to track down. Hopefully this will help. Sandy <A HREF="http://schgenealogy.tripod.com/searchingfamilystorieswithsandy/">Searching Family Stories with Sandy</A> Feb 14 1974, The New Holland Leader BOUIC Friends here have received word of the death of Fred V. Bouic of Rio Grande, a retired professor at Rio Grande College, and a former teacher of Clarksburg High School. Mr. Bouic, 89, died on Jan 28, at the Holzer Medical Center at Gallipolis. He was a native of Union County and was born at Watkins, Ohio on July 25, 1884. He began his teaching at Clarksburg High School in 1908 to 1909. He obtained a law degree and education degree from Ohio Northern University, Ohio State University and Hamilton College in Chicago, Ill. From 1921 through 1932 he was associated with the Bankers Life Insurance Co., and from 1932 to 1940 he operated a sugar business in Cuba. After returning from public school teaching, Mr. Bouic headed the Commerce Department at Rio Grande College from 1950 until 1962. He was elected by the board of trustees of Rio Grande College to the status of professor emeritus in 1962. He remained at the college as assistant librarian until June, 1973. He was buried at the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery at Rio Grande. All of his personal property goes to the college. Mr. Bouic had returned to Clarksburg on several occasions and visited at the home of Mrs. Pryor B. Timmons and late Mr. Timmons.
