There was a query on toll roads on one of the PA. lists this morning. Reminded me, the road going from Darbyville to Circleville, (Road 3?? looking at the Muhlenberg Twp. cemetery map.) I think this was once a toll road. Also in this tucked away memory, I think the collector lived in the vicinity of the Carpenter place. My dad said the toll was a nickel. I don't remember it being a toll road, but apparently my dad did. Or he had heard stories of it. He was born 1909. Is there any information on toll roads in Pickaway County? Thanks, Mary A.
