    2. Circleville Democrat Watchman Jan. 26, 1877 Last Tuesday evening about one hundred friends of Mr. and Mrs. Julius WEILL, gave them an agreeable surprise, it being the twentieth anniversary of their wedding. The occasion was one of rare enjoyment. Among the many valuable presents given the happy couple, that of Germain Joseph, a fine China tea set, consisting of forty two pieces, deserves special mention. The affair was managed by Mrs. A. MILLET and Mrs. J.G. BENNETT, and of course was a success. Last Monday, Sheriff HARTMEYER made the following sales: The lot and shop on Main street, Circleville, adjoining Star Restaurant, case of Frederick SNYDER vs. Henry CRIST, et.al., to George ZWICKER, for $2,250; appraised at $2,500. The island, in Scioto River, between Circleville and State Dam, containing 38 and _____ acres, to Edward SMITH, for $32.80 per acre. The ROSE and FORESMAN farms, in Deercreek and Harrison townships, were also offered, but no bidders. Cathy
