Someone asked why people were moving from Ohio to Indiana. I have found in my searches that whenever free land was opened up for homesteading, that people would move. My Rowens began in Maryland and when land opened up in Ohio in the early 1800's, a splinter group of families moved there. Then around 1840 more land was opened up for settlement in Indiana and this caused another group of people to move again. I hope I am stating this correctly.
