    1. The Old Courthouse
    2. Wyatt Knapp
    3. Hello folks! I was wondering if anyone on the list would know where I can get a picture or photograph of the old Circleville Courthouse. It was considered unusual at the time of it's construction because the builder made it in the shape of an octagon. The reason I am interested is that an ancestral relative of mine was the one who built it. His name was David Foust. I would love to have a scan of it for a momento. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you, --Wyatt R. Knapp--

    2. Fletcher Bishop
    3. Hi All: I need a lookup for Sockrider, Sackrider, Sacriter or variations in Zion Cemetery, Washington Twp near Stoutsville. The interments would have been 1820-1850. I have even seen the name Lockrider used. I believe the DAR did index this cemetery. I am particularly interested in Henry, Catherine and Magdalena. Fletcher Bishop

    3. Our Peter Pontious of Pickaway married Margaret Hager, dau. of John Hager. One of her sisters married a Treece. The Treeces, Aurands and Pontiouses intermarried several times and they all seem to hail from the same area of Pennsylvania, around Berks, Snyder and Union Counties. If you have any Pontious connections I'd love to hear from you, and I'd be happy to share what I have on the Treeces, although it isn't a great deal. I think the Pontiouses married into the Cherry family as well, but not my direct line. Len ----- Original Message ----- I would like to exchange information with anyone else researching the Treece or Cherry families of Pickaway Co., Ohio. They resided there from approximately 1810-1840. Mary Lou Clegg

    1. NEED HELP PLEASE.......ALMOST OUT OF TIME
    2. Hi list, Pulling out all stops and need your help.  Have been researching surname BERTRUCHI all over Ohio, Illinois, and Iowa.  Time is off the essence as the family member wanting closure is ailing very quickly.  She is close to 90 years and has just suffered several more strokes, and isn't expect to live much longer.  She never knew anything about her husbands family and thus I am trying to help and now enlisted your help. Gr. Lewis born in Cook Co, Illinois the s/o of Mary Toddhunter and Joseph Henry BERTRUCHI. Sometime lived in Steubenville, Ohio.  Family story says due to a bad train accident both parents were killed (it is presumed this happened sometime around 1910-1920), and Gr. Lewis left Steubenville. His social security application is filed with Oxford Junction, Jones Co, Iowa in 1942. He is buried in the Porland, Oregon area; where his wife is ailing. Thanks, Sandy

    1. Re: OHPICKAW-D Digest V01 #53
    2. Sorry I don't have any info about Lowry and Achinson. I did want to ask if any other Pickaway list people have connections with Smith and/or Crissinger families. Daniel Smith, born in Pickaway Co abt 1810-1812 (don't know parents names or sibling's names, although I am suspecting Catherine Smith as a possible mother), married Mary Ann Crissinger (parents John/Jonathan and Mary or Nancy Brinkley Crissinger) in 1840; their first born child, Otis B. Smith was born in Ohio, the remaining children in Illinois or Iowa. Does anyone know of any good sources for births being recording in Pickaway County as early as 1810? Or have any other Crissinger or Smith information? Thanks, Bonnie (new to the list)
