    1. 1860 & 1870 LEACH lookup
    2. I need a census lookup on an ancestor for the years of 1860 and 1870. I have very close information but nothing conclusive. I have a Daniel Leach born about 1827 who married a Catherine Kidwell on September 24, 1850 in Warren Co., Va. who was born about 1830. Daniel was born in Va. I have record of them giving birth to a son Thomas William Leach on January 21, 1853 from courthouse records in Warren Co., Va., The next trace I have of anything close is the 1880 census that shows a Daniel Leach born about 1828 born in Va., married to a Dolly born about 1841 with the oldest son listed as William T. Leach born about 1853. This census is from Pickaway Co., Oh. I would like a reading from the Pickaway Co., Oh census for 1860 and 1870 to see if they list Daniel and if they would lend any help in identifying him. Thanks, Stan Leach families are: Leach, Minter, Rowley, White

    3. Looking at internment cards in the office at Reber Hill Cemetery, Walnut Tp, Pickaway County, where an ancestor Ruth Lane Brown 's headstone is at, I found that she had originally been buried at Martin Cemetery. I'm trying to find where Martin Cemetery would have existed and why those laid to rest there were moved. Thanks, Mike at msb@core.com

    1. GAY Marriage Lookup
    2. Joe, I found the following GAY marriages in the book, "Marriage Records, Pickaway Co.,OH 1810-1862" published by the Pickaway County Historical Society. 1. William Gay & Mary Ann Hayes OH>IN 1831
    2. Hello List I think I have found, with some digging that my William Gay is probably a brother to Jacob Gay, also from Pickaway Co., OH., that moved to Tippecanoe Co., IN about the same time William moved to the adjacant County of White. Jacob Gay shows a brother William born abt 1796 prob. PA. Their father John Gay a native on England came to Pickaway Co. from Westmoreland Co., PA in 1799 William and Mary Ann moved to White Co., IN in 1831. William died in 1840 leaving Mary Ann with 2 sons in the 1850 White co. Census. According to Pickaway Co., OH history John Gay lived to be 102 yrs 10 months. Does anyone have anymore information on this family? Thanks Joe Evans

    1. ROGERS Pickaway Co
    2. Kathy Mahmens
    3. Hello All, I have been searching endlessly in Muskingum Co for my John & Margaret WILLIAMS ROGERS. I know they were there in the 1850 census. The last evidence I have of them in Muskingum Co was their daughter, Lucinda marrying in 1857. There is no death record for John & Margaret in Muskingum Co. John was b 1790 PA & Margaret was b 1800 PA. I have recently found that their youngest daughter, Manerva "Maggie" ROGERS was married to Benjamin MORRIS in Circleville, Pickaway Co January 30, 1862. I know that Maggie & Benjamin had at least one child, Mamie. Maggie & Benjamin both died in Circleville bef 1912. I know that Margaret was still living mid 1860's, as we have a pic of her. Does anyone recognize any of the above or can anyone search the death index for these folks? Any help would be greatly appreciated! 3. To all that sent encouraging responses, I wanted to thank you, I have tried to reply to everyone, but it is now becoming to over whelming to answer everybody back. I can understand how these list administrators that have several counties to do, feel. I have several leads and on my other lines and many many awesome folks who have offered to help. I have been researching for just a little under a year now, and have found many people and information. I have made many contacts and feel that I can help others with what I have. I have researched all that I can on my Heckman family until I receive proof from St. Augustine's church in Minster, Ohio as to who my Clemens's parents are, I am stuck. Right now he is an only child, and that is hard to believe. Through marriage, baptismal, probate and land contracts, and cemetery records WE KNOW HE EXISTS!! Ha ha To all of those people that receive a couple of hundred emails a week, I understand, I am in the same boat. It was a one time shot and proved in my mind successful.
