If you have a more specific date of death, you can play around with different search criteria on the advanced search options at http://www.ohiohistory.org/dindex/advsearch.cfm Because they used OCR software to create the online index, you sometimes have no idea how the name will appear in the index. They are working to correct the entries, but there are still many that are wrong. I've had a great deal of success using the advanced search options, then looking for the person by date of death. Also, be certain to keep the search as "All Counties," as he may not have died in Perry County. There is also the possibility that he didn't die in Ohio, but was transported back here for burial. In this case, there would be no death certificate in Ohio. You might want to look for an obituary for him to see if it would have any details of his death.
