I would like to contact anyone researching Carlisle, Hook, and Conn families in Perry County. Two sisters, Sarah Carlisle and Rebecca Carlisle, daughters of William Carlisle married (probably in Tuscarawas County) and lived in Perry County. Sarah, born about 1796 (Ireland?) married a George Conn and died in Perry Co., Ohio about 1871. She is apparently buried in Hemlock. I did not see any Conn family members on the Perry County 1860 census on the web site but don't know if all of the districts are transcribed. Sarah is supposed to be buried in Hemlock (I don't know if that is a cemetery or town). Rebecca was born about 1798 (listed as 52 on the 1850 census) apparently on the voyage over from Ireland to the US. She married a Samuel Hook and in 1850 the family is living in Salt Lick Twp. I did not see them on the 1860 census info on the Perry County website, so don't know if they are there or not. Rebecca's children are listed as Margaret 15, Mary 13, Samuel 8, and Stephen Hook 69, is living with them, I assume Stephen is Samuel's father. If anyone knows these families or can confirm any of the above, please contact me at your earliest opportunity. Thanks very much. Rebecca died in 1871 and is supposed to be buried in Drake (again, I don't know if this means cemetery or town).
