I am looking for a Tedford family with a marriage to a Wilson in the range of 1807-1815, and possible connections to Washington Co., PA, or Perry Co., OH. My gggf, Robert L. Wilson of Whiteside Co., IL, kept a diary with the following entry for 12/25/1865: Monday 25 Clear and warm snow nearly all melted off today. Gave a family dinner presents. Sisters Tedford & Baird. Saml Baird and wife Mr. Alexander and Son.... Mary Baird of Whiteside Co. is well-documented as Robert's sister. The 1860 census shows Elizabeth Tedford, age 71, born PA, as living with C. C. Alexander and his wife, Eliza, age 49, also born PA. Wilson DeCamp Vienna, VA Robert was born in 1805 in Washington Co., PA. The family later moved to Perry Co., OH, where his sister, Mary, married James Baird. Therefore, I believe that he had a sister, Elizabeth, b. about 1789 in Washington Co., PA, who later married a Tedford, possibly in either PA or OH. Does this fit in with any known Tedford family?
