    1. [OHPERRY] John/Jane Wilson, Madison Twp.
    2. I found the following in "Gateway to the West", volume II (Family Tree Maker Archive CD #175, Ohio Vital Records #1, 1790s-1870s): Perry Co., Will Abstracts, 1818-1851, pg. 379: WILSON, John - dated 1-17-1823. Wife, Jane. Children: Samuel, Sara, John, James and other children not named. Executors: James, John and Samuel. Witnesses: Asbury Elder and Samuel Baird. Based on the structure of various Wilson families found in Perry Co. in the 1820 census, one of the unnamed children is my great-great-grandfather, Robert L. Wilson, b. 1805. Another unnamed child is his older sister, Mary, b. 1794, who married James Baird abt. 1818, based on the age of their oldest daughter, and thus would not have been counted with the family in 1820. The 1820 census for Perry Co., OH, shows a household headed by John Wilson. He is over 45 years of age, with two males between ten and sixteen years of age, three males between sixteen and twenty-six years of age, one female between sixteen and twenty-six years of age, and one adult female (presumably his wife), also over 45 years of age. My ggf was fifteen at the time of this census, so I assume that the family included one brother younger than Robert. I suspect that the children who were specifically named were over 21, and thus born before 1802. It is also a fair assumption that John was born before 1775. Can anyone on our list help with the following questions: 1. What cemeteries (probably Presbyterian) might have been near Madison Twp. in 1822? Do any of these still exist? Have the burial records been published for any of these? 2. Are there any records of marriages for Samuel, Sara, John, or James, probably in the 1820's or early 1830's? 3. Who would I contact to see if there are any probate records or probate packets extant from the 1820's? 4. On 12/23/1811, John Wilson is shown as purchasing land described as NW 1/4 S30, T17, R5 - C/481 (the code corresponds to NW quarter, section 30, township 17, range 5); how could I find this location on a modern map of Perry County?
