I'm in search of anyone who has a connection with or interest in the obsure, private cemetery located in Sect.1 of Hopewell Twp., west of Twp. Rd. 61 in Perry Co. It has no sign but is called the "Eversole Family Cemetery" by the OGS and is on property currently owned by Waste Management, Inc. (WM). There were at least 22 people buried here in the 1800's. Rev. Elijah SCOFIELD, pastor of the Jonathan Creek Brethren Church bought this property from the government in 1810. The land was later aquired by the EVERSOLE's. Both families buried here in addition to CHENEY, CLARK, COVER/KOVER, and PLANK. Some of the stones are broken or off their pedestals. Mr. Arthur "Hal" Laube has been very helpful in providing information to me from his research of the families buried there. I, myself, am a descendent of the Eversoles but am not a resident of Perry Co. In November I met with the site manager of WM who is interested in making improvements to this graveyard.
