    3. I know there is someone on this list researching CAIN and I wanted to pass on the following information. I was perusing through the 1860 Perry Co. census and came across 4 SKINNER families (father Reuben and sons Reuben, Jacob, and Lemuel) that were living next to each other in Salt Lick Twp. In looking at a 5th dwelling, I noticed the name Richard KING. I started looking at the record a little more closely and comparing it with my records, Perry Co. marriage records, and the names of the children, it dawned on me that this was NOT Richard KING, but Richard CAIN and his wife, Martha SKINNER, who was a daughter and sister to the 4 male Skinners listed above. The census listing is as follows: Page 305A; Dwelling #885, Family #862 KING, Richard, age 34y, male, farmer, Real Est $300, Pers Prop $150, b. OH KING, Martha, age 27y, female, b OH, cannot read or write KING, Reuben J., age 6y, male, b OH KING, James R., age 3y, male, b OH KING, Steven A., age 1y, male, b OH Again, I believe the surname on this family should be CAIN, not King. If anyone knows different, please let me know. Brenda J. Van Dyke bjvd@columbus.rr.com Amateur Radio Call KC8OYP
