    3. Kathy, I have one Owens in my BROWN file: Jacob N. OWENS, (s/o Washington) b. April 1856 m. Caroline BROWN on Nov. 19, 1882 (Muskingum County Marriage Records Volume VI 1881- 1896). Caroline was the d/o George Washington BROWN & Lucy Ann PEMBERTON. Jacob and Caroline are buried in the Roseville cemetery. Carole Williams williams@sunet.net

    3. Carole, Thanks for replying. I have three wives listed for George Washington Owens: 1st Catharine SEARS ... married in 1844 (probably 2nd) Mary R. Rockhold ... married in 1848 3rd Lucinda A. SPURGEON... married after 1848 The only child I have listed for George Washington is with his wife Mary R. Rockhold. He is John Bartley OWENS b. ? Who I am told was the founder of Roseville Pottery. Was the Jacob you have listed the son of Geroge Washington and Lucinda A. Spurgeon?     3. The Washington & Lucinda Owens family are in 1880 census MU, Clay, Roseville village. Earlier census may reveal more children. Washington & Lucinda are both buried in Roseville Cemetery. Information on the Owens Pottery should be available at the Ohio Pottery Museum.
