My mother was born in New Lexington in 1916 to Samuel E. STOWE and Mary G. LITTLE. Samuel's father was Myron Ernest Stowe, his grandfather was Rev. Theodore Stowe. I believe that the Stowe family came to Ohio in the early 1800's. Theodore's father, Abijah, died in Athens County in 1826. Mary Gertrude Little's family settled in Monday Creek in 1834. Her father, James, married Mary Ann "Mollie" MAHER in 1878 at St. Rose's Church. Would love to connect with anyone who is researching any of these lines.
