Seeking any information on EIS, ICE or ISE families, especially in the Hopewell Twp area. I believe them to be descendents of Jean (John) and Anna Elizabeth (GREFF) EIS from Alsace-Lorraine, FR. In the 1840 census living with John and Elizabeth in Licking Co are 2 males, age 15 to 20, and 2 males, age 20-30. There are also 2 females, age 15-20, and 2 females, age 20-30. The only confirmed child is Catherine EIS b 14 Feb 1807. She was married before emigration so one of the older males is likely her husband, Joseph RUSLER, b ca 1805.
