John Brown, b. c1802, Mass., died c1860, Perry Co., OH, md. 1834, Muskingum Co., OH, to Mary Ann James, daughter of David James and Nancy Green. Children: 1. David J. Brown, b. 1836, OH, d. 1861 (C.W.) md. 1856, Arminda Latta 2. Edward Brown, b. c1839, OH, (may have married 1861, Perry Co., OH, Margaret H. Little ??) 3. William R. Brown, b. c 1841, OH, (may have married 1873, Perry Co., OH Sarah O. Alten??) 4. Augusta G. Brown, b. c1843, OH 5. Joseph D. Brown, b. c1844, md. Rose A.____ 6. Mary E. Brown, b. c1846, OH, (may have married 1865, Perry Co., John S. Lane??) 7. Lucy P. Brown, b. c1848, OH, married 1875, Perry Co., Adam Conaway 8. Nancy Brown, b. c1850, Perry Co., (may have married 1875, Perry Co., George W. Purcell??) 9. Martha H. Brown, b. c1855, Perry Co., md. 1873, Jesse Smith 10. Susanna Brown, b. c1861 Perry Co., OH The only marriages I know or I feel sure of are : #1. David J. Brown to Arminda Latta, Arminda later married David's cousin, Cyrus Green. They moved to Morning Sun, Iowa. #7. Lucy P. Brown to Adam Conaway, in 1880 they lived next door to Lucy's sister, Martha and Jesse Smith. Lucy & Martha's mother was living with the Smiths. #10. Martha H. Brown and Jesse Smith, 1880 Martha's mother, Mary Ann Brown was living in the Smith home. The other marriages just seem to fit? Apparently they are just guesses.
