    1. [OHPERRY] Re: Thorn twp. Cemeteries, Vol 1
    2. Hello- Is Maxine Fisher a member of this group? I have just -finally- obtained a copy of the Thorn Twp. Cemeteries, Vol. 1. Can Maxine or Norma Ortman tell me who wrote the lovely poem on the page 4? (I write to Maxine because we have corresponded before, years ago.) And for the pleasure of you all who do not have access to the book I shall reprint the poem here. Melinda Seyler Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glitz on snow, I am sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you waken in the morning hush, I am the soft star that shines at night. Do not stand by my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die.

    3. Although many web sites attribute the poem to that prolific author Anonymous <g>, the page at http://www.cantusquercus.com/9611text.htm credits this poem (with two more stanzas) to Mary Frye (1932) and Wilbur Skeels (1996).
