Hi Ruth, By the way, I noticed that little Ida Joseph was born in 1888 in Shawnee and died in 1889 - also in Shawnee. In my mind this would limit her Joseph father to one of two people - David Joseph or his brother William. (They were both brothers of my great-grandfather John Joseph - the father of Rose Joseph who married John Ashbaugh.) In my mind William Joseph is the more likely choice. He was born in early 1860 and was married in 1898 to Vice Rosaball (pronounced Vicky, I think ... :-) ) in Perry County. They lived in Buckingham after he was married to Vice, but that wasn't until he was 38 years old. He certainly COULD have been married before. The other possibility was David Joseph. He was married in 1882 to Sarah Carlyle in Meigs County and she died fairly soon after they were married. He himself died of lung problems in 1904 at the age of 42 or so. In the 1900 Shawnee census he was listed as a widower, so I wouldn't think he married again after his first wife died.
