Hello Ruth- Thank you for your response re Edmunds in Perry County. The names you sent from the 1850 census are my family in total. So I guess that means that the brother and mother were somewhere else. I really need to go further back than 1850. Does anyone have any idea how to do that? I recall hitting this block before. Is there no earlier census for Perry County or were records destroyed somehow? How about a circular route: does anyone know when Grace Lutheran church in Thornville was founded? I believe Zion was the Lutheran Church before and seem to recall New Reading as the place. Is my memory correct at all? What County is this church in? What are the numbers listed after the names?
