    3. Since FLOWERS is my mother-in-law's line, I thought I'd try to tackle this one. Yes, Emma Rose's mother's maiden name was Sines--Rosella Rovena. I can't find any birth record for the mother, though, in Perry County, so don't know her parents' names. The "Corder" is evidently a second married name for the mother, Rosella, although I couldn't find any marriage record for that in Tim Fisher's Perry County site. Since this family seemed to bounce between Perry and Muskingum counties, perhaps the record is there. I had a note in my database for Emma Rose's father, Thomas, that he died fairly young, Sept. 22, 1936, in Perry County (b. Dec 28, 1898). If you look him up in FamilySearch.org, there is a coroner's record indicating a supposition that he died of suicide attempt with carbolic acid. At least that's what came up a while back when I was working on that line. That record may have been since corrected, as that note obliterated the actual death record that was supposed to be in that file. Confirming reports about Thomas were published in the two Zanesville newspapers, and can be found via Ancestry.com. Evidently, Thomas went missing for a few days, and the family's worst fears were ultimately confirmed. Since that left Rose (Rosella) with a relatively young family, she probably remarried--although I can't find any record of that in the Perry County records, though there were other Corder families listed in the marriage records. Neither can I find any record in Perry County for Emma Rose marrying a Shroyer. Emma Rose Flowers' family are listed in the 1930 census in Perry County, with all but the youngest daughter listed (listed in obit as Mary Lou, but on Perry Co birth index as Mary Louise, b 1931).
