Collier, age 91, passed on February 11, 2012, at Wesley Glen Retirement Center. Born in Columbus on November 29, 1920, she was preceded in death by parents William S. and Grace Thompson Stevens, and husband Stuart E. Collier. She is survived by daughter, Linda; son-in-law, David A. Roberts; and grandchildren, Bryan and Justin Roberts. Jean graduated from Grandview Heights High School and attended Ohio State University and Capital University. Jean was a long-time member of the Ohio Genealogy Society. She was responsible for abstracting Fairfield County newspapers and wills and estates. Jean was one of the founding members of the Cat Welfare Association and continued her work there through her 91st birthday. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Cat Welfare Altering Fund. Services will be private with arrangements made by WEIR-AREND FUNERAL HOME and interment at West Rushville Cemetery. Her family gratefully acknowledges the nurses and staff at Wesley Glen and Hospice Services at Methodist Elder Care.
