    1. [Perry Co OH] missing messages?
    2. Sue Saylor
    3. This list has been very quiet. Am I missing messages? I haven't rec'd any postings for quite some time, nor any of those great obituary notices from Barbara in CA. I especially like, and look forward to, the latter, since I do not subscribe to newspapers. The direct links are great. Many of the out of the area obituaries of Perry County related persons, has been saved to our Chapter's obituary files, via those postings. People who die in a hospital or nursing facility "out of Perry Co." would have their death recorded in that county, and their obituary likely carried in that local newspaper. Perry Co. does not have a hospital, so many people die (or are pronounced deceased) outside of our county. Zanesville, Newark, Logan, etc. are in neighboring counties, but cover Perry Co. news in their papers. If you have an obituary of a person connected to Perry Co., who died elsewhere, please consider sending a copy to our Chapter's website for our growing obituary files. My main Perry Co. lines are Colborn (Robert), Wilson (Horace), Ricketts (Daniel). I would love to hear from fellow researchers on these lines. I have gleaned a lot of great information from obituaries, and newspaper articles posted on this and other rootsweb lists. I hope to see more soon on this site. Sue Saylor Perry Co. Chapter, OGS Treas. & Cor. Sec.

    3. Sue, The obituaries have been posted by a volunteer subscriber, and any appropriate obituaries pertaining to Perry County are more than welcome on this list at any time that anyone posts them. As for whether you are missing any posts or not, I have no way of determining what (if any) posts you might be missing but you can visit the List Archives by clicking the link at the bottom of this and all list posts to see what has been posted at any time. I hope this information helps you. David E. 3. David, Yes, I understand. Usually there are obituaries posted "at least" once a week (sometimes more) from the lady in CA. She apparently goes to a lot of effort to find the obituaries written in other area (as well as local) newspapers that have a Perry Co. connection. I know that Muskingum County also has a person posting obituaries in a similar manner. They are very helpful to genealogists, and our organization benefits greatly from them. If not for these people, we would miss some death notices of people who no longer live in the area. Often times, we find a clue in an "out of town" obituary, that we need to break down our genealogy wall! We hope both ladies continue posting the obituaries. I will check the List Archives to see if I am missing any postings. This site isn't much help to researchers if none active. Thank You Sue Saylor ----- Original Message ----- From: "David E.
