My gg-grandfather supposedly was buried in Shawnee Cemetary. According to Probate Court Records, he was recorded in Book 4, Page 78. But I can't locate him in Shawnee Cemetary. His name was George Tinkler.I have a plot # & date. Anyhelp would be appreciated. Thank You, Christy Peacock
Christy, I'm not sure what source you are citing from Probate, perhaps a Will Book, etc. George Tinkler is not listed in the "Early Probate Deaths, 1867 -19--." Our "Coal and Salt Lick Cemetery" publication does not list this person nor is he listed in my notes from the Shawnee clerk's office of the "Cemetery Plot Owners, 1881-1885." If you have a plot # for the Shawnee Cemetery, maybe it would be an option to call or write the Shawnee clerk and see if they can help?? Shawnee Mayor's office - 740-394-2462 Second Street, Shawnee, OH. 43782 *There is a George A. Tinker ( 1836 - 1901 Veteran) in the "Monroe Township Cemetery Inscriptions" for Dew Cemetery.
