    1. [OHPERRY] Perry County Families
    2. Tim or Somebody Who Can Help, I entered many names a few years ago and now wish to enter their children. How do I add children to the people? I don't want to do it incorrectly. Thanks, Carl ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.

    3. Go to one of the parents page. From the main page, click on Surnames (in red), then the first letter of their last name on the surname list, then the surname. That brings up all the people with that surname. Click on the specific name of the parent There are a couple ways to add children, but I think this is the easiest If you scroll down the parents page, near the bottom you'll see a field called the Family ID. Right above that, it'll say "Last Modified" and there will be a link to the right of that that says "Edit". Click on that. That'll take you to the Modify Family Screen. Scroll down to where it says Children. If one of the children happens to already be in the database, but not associated with the parent, you can click on "Find" right next to where it says New Children, input the name of the child in the Find screen and then select the correct name from the list. If the children aren't in the database already, instead of hitting "Find", hit "Create. That'll bring up a screen just like the one you saw when you created the parents, an Add Person Screen. The system should automatically generate a Person ID, but if it doesn't, hit the Generate box to force it to do so. Input all of the information on have on the child and hit Save at the bottom. Don't forget to Click or unclick the living box. After you hit save, it'll take you back to the Add Family screen. If there are more children, just keep hitting Create until you have them all done. Once you have them all done, simply scroll down to the bottom of the screen and hit Save. That does it. Let me know how it works.
