Sue, Is there any chance you have access to cemetery records before 1881? Sometime during the early 1850's my 4th gr-grandfather died most likely in Saltlick twp. I don't know where he is buried. My 4th gr-grandfather was JOHN ACORD, widowed and aged 84 (b. 1865-66), lived in SALTLICK TWP. in 1850 with his youngest son Enoch Acord. I can't find a grave for John or his wife CATHARINA ELIZABETH ACORD anywhere. In 1840 they lived in Monroe twp., Perry County on land owned by John Acord, Jr. I believe Enoch left Perry County to join a brother in IA after his father died, and that John would be buried in either Saltlick or Monoe twp., Perry County. If you don't have access to this information, can you guide me into the right direction for my research? I may be able to visit Perry County before winter, hopefully.
