I have also found errors in official documents and offered corrections. Some counties are more willing to make corrections (with proper documentation) than others, but some simply refuse to correct an original document. I feel that a footnote on the record or an addendum in the back of the file would be a great help to future generations, but I guess it is up to the individual counties as to how they want to deal with it.
