Nancy Allen was the sister of my gg grandmother and am wondering if this is the same person. Our Nancy was born 17 May 1825 to Richard Allen and Lucinda ? We think the last name was Carder. Nancy married David Rush in 1840 and in 1869 he died. I have no reference of her remarrying and would appreciate any information if this is the same person.....Glenda (Oregon) thanks

NO, NO, NO! This is not the same Nancy ALLEN. This Nancy ALLEN is my gr gr grandmother. Think there were at least two families of Allens in Perry in this time frame. 1830s to 1840s. Besides, she would have remarried (if she had) under her married name of RUSH. When was the other Nancy Allen born? I have the census records for all the ALLENs on the Perry 1830 census and some from Fairfield. Our (Glenda and I) Richard didn't come until after the 1830 census. Think ours is from Ohio Co VA/WV. Or at least I am working on a Richard Allen from there. Not to say there might not be a connection. I don't have all the Allens on the 1840 census just the ones in Saltlick Twp. That's where my kin (or a lot of them) were hanging out.
