    3. This dreaded SirCam virus is still going around heavily. PLEASE BE CAREFUL when opening attachments! I am getting in excess of 60 infected emails daily. The virus spreads by taking a file from your computer, attaching it to an email, embedding the virus into that attachment, then emails itself to others. Some of these are *very* large attachments (think of all the files you have on your computer) and I had my server halted two nights ago by a virus ridden email stuck because the attachment was too large and my server disconnects after 15 minutes! So considering I run on a cable modem and I couldn't download the complete email within that 15 minutes, it was rather large thus causing numerous problems on my end! So please be extra careful when opening attachments and keep your virus programs updated! This is a nasty virus and can cause considerable computer damage! (Really makes you wonder who has time to write these destructive virus'! Whoever does, they must not be into genealogy as they would be too busy trying to sort out brick walls!) You can find more information about the virus and removing it from: Symantec (Norton): http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.sircam.worm@mm.html McAfee: http://www.mcafee.com/anti-virus/viruses/sircam/default.asp?cid=2360 Best Regards, Angela Kneller - angela@kneller.com
