    1. [OHPERRY] Re: OHPERRY-The PETTY clan!
    2. Hello Listers, I will send a new request your way and see if it is more fruitful than my others have been! Joseph and Elizabeth PETTY, who came to Perry CO., in 1808, had an older son John, b. 1785. He married in Perry CO., first but I have never found any offspring of his. Surely there have to be some sticking around somewhere. If you are of a PETTY descent and do not know from whence you came, perhaps you are in this man's line. I believe his first wife to have been Delia DANISON. She was living when he bought some land there in 1820. However, she must have died perhaps in childbirth because he later went to Clark CO. where he married Martha FORTE. Again, I find no children but that is too early for them to have been named in the census. However, I will check to see if perhaps children are showing as being present. The unfortunate part is that Martha is showing as the head of the family by 1850, perhaps as early as 1840, my memory fails me here. If you are a PETTY, DANISON, FORTE, or any other allied line to this family and you know anything about the only PETTY offspring who went that direction instead of to Illinois in Lawrence CO., PLEASE get in touch w/ me. Thank you. Marjory PETTY Austen, d/o Alva, s/o Jacob C., s/o Josiah, s/o Jacob, s/o Joseph and Elizabeth
