The only Griffin in Salt Lick Twp. is in the Old Stone Church Cemetery (ugh). If you haven't heard the story about this cemetery, let me know and I'll tell you. Otherwise, I'll spare my fingers tonite. Griffin, Infant s/o John & Catherine Griffin died May 10, 1852 There are 3 in Coal Twp/all in New Straitsville cemetery: Griffin, Sylvester Co. A 31 Ohio Inf. Griffin, J.L. Co. B 75 Ohio Inf. Griffin, William B. June 15, 1925 76y 1m 18d - address Nelsonville, Ohio. (No marker found for William; info taken from records of cemetery) That's all I found in the whole book.
