Have a couple more items that might be of interest. Tax rates for Perry Co. for 1890. If there is a lot of interest I'll try to get it scanned or OCRed and put it on my website. The other items are very unusual. They appear to be copies from a VERY old book of the original surveys of Perry Co. They are marked 1818, but I'm guessing that the surveys were done much earlier. It looks like I have every twp. but Thorn. I'm not a surveyor, so I haven't figured them out completly yet, but there is a map of each township with the sections shown and a grid. For each township there is also a list of survey points which appear to match the grid points on the map. Its interesting because they use "Bearing Trees", like W. Oak, Hickory, etc. to mark the points. If someone has the time to coach me, I'd like to understand how these are laid out. Again, I can make copies if anyone would like to see. There are NO names on these and the copies I have are merely copies of the book pages, so the quality is not great. Tim
