Since my gg gfather, Thomas Noble seems to be inextricably linked to the Civil War Monument on Monument Square in New Lexington, I thought some of you might appreciate knowing what is written on the sides. Essentially it lists the names of some of the Veterans who served in the Civil War from the Perry Co. and surrounding areas, many of whom were in the 30th Regiment, Ohio Volunteer Infantry. As usual, the info. is some of my grandmothers' doing. She added a short history of the Veterans listed. East Side Jacob Lamb (Vicksburg) David D.
