Samuel Orr b: abt. 1740 was a Brethren Minister, I believe in Perry County, Ohio, or nearby. He had a daughter Birdie M. Orr born 1876 died 1949. Could someone look him up in 1880 Ohio census that would give his date and state of birth, wife's name and location, as well as where his parents were born. We have a candidate Orr family in Bowling Green Township, Licking County to be his parents and we do have Birdie M.'s line. She married Murray Bowser (1873-1956). These are descendants of the Bowsers who were early members of the Jonathan Creek Brethren in Hopewell Township, Perry County, Ohio. Murray and Birdie Orr Bowser were residents of Glenford. Ohio and are buried in nearby Highland Cemetery. I will be glad to list what we have if someone will look him up in the 1880 census. Not exactly quid pro quo, but I need a little help. Thanks Hal
Hal, I looked through the 1880 census for Perry Co. and did not find Samuel Orr, unless it was on a page that is illegible (don't think so, but a possibility nonetheless). Anyone have an 1880 census index in case I missed the entry?
