    3. Stacy, There used to be a town called Middletown but today it is just a wide spot in the road, so to speak. It is on SR 668 between Junction City and Maxville. The Friendship Methodist Church is there and maybe a dozen houses. That is all there is left of it today. It used to be a larger town with a store, etc. My husband has lived in this area all his life and is very familiar with the old towns. We are only about 10-12 miles from there. Hope this helps you. It was near the southern border of Jackson Township, Perry County. I have located it on an 1850 map - it's north of Maxville and south of Crossenville. 3. Ruth; That helps a lot. :) At least I'll be able to tell where it was by looking for the church. Thanks so much. -Stacy ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ruth Ashbaugh" <ashbaugh@greenapple.com> To: <OHPERRY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, August 10, 2001 5:47 PM Subject: Re: [OHPERRY] Middletown, Ohio > Stacy, There used to be a town called Middletown but today it is just a > wide spot in the road, so to speak. 3. You might find it interesting to know that there is a 1854 Reappraisement Book at the Perry County Archives that lists a Kennedy, Jane in R16/T15/Section 31 in Jackson Twp. 81 acres with a value of $769. The entire Jackson Twp list from this book will appeared in the Spring and Summer issues of the Perry County OGS, Heirlines Newsletter. For more details in becoming a member for only $10/yr, go to perrygenealogy.net. The newsletters are packed full of info, often 16-18 pages per issue (quarterly). Check it out. Hope this helps, Smiles, Teresa > > From: Stacy R.
