I am in the same boat Lea Ann. I am looking for my Great Grandfather Patrick Burns, who also came from Scotland. Born approx. 1857/1858 and was also in Monroe Township in late 1880s. Corning/Rendville area. He worked in the mines and died at 42 yrs of age of pnuemonia. Married to Elizabeth (Lizzie) McGinnis who was born in Ireland. Lizzie is buried in Maplewood Cemetery in New Lexington, Ohio. My Grandmother Elizabeth (also AKA Lizzie) Burns McVay and my great uncle Pat Burns, her children, are buried along side of her. I cannot locate Patrick Sr.'s burial place. He is not with his wife and children. He died in 1900 and Lizzie lived until 1921. They lived on Smokey Row Rd. between Corning and Rendville, Ohio which has been consumed by RT.13. Does anyone know if the Cemetery Book, I've been hearing about lists names? Could someone tell me the newspaper that would have had Patrick's obit in 1900? Thanks, Michele
