OK, I figured some relationship or other. My Skinners come in with my 3rd great grandmother Rachel Skinner b. 1781 in PA probably Lower Turkeyfoot (if you have some evidence??) she married Nathaniel Rush in 1799 (without looking I don't know if I have actual evidence of this or just information received), Her parents are Samuel Skinner and Mary Drake. Nathaniel died in 1820 and some years later in 1831 Rachel Skinner Rush married Richard Skinner. This did not turn out happily. Do not know the details. I heard there was a divorce. Has anyone looked this up? Have not worked on this Richard Skinner. There were no children that I have ever heard of. Rachel would have been 50 in 1831. Was Richard also from Lower Turkeyfoot? Who did he marry? Children? His parents? Barb, I show that Rachel and Richard married in August 23, 1831, and that she died in December 1876 in Atchinson County, Missouri. I don't show the divorce, but.... I believe that the marriage took place in PA., on January 08, 1799. I show that he was born in 1777, but I do not show a source. Like I had said in an earlier note, most of the material with out a source came from Ethel Albin's book on the Skinners. I entered some of the material with out citing the source - A BIG MISTAKE. I have the both of her books and one of these day I will go back and correct rookie mistake Byron -----Original Message----- From: Barbara & George Grenier [mailto:grenier@earthlink.net] Sent: Saturday, September 22, 2001 1:37 AM To: OHPERRY-L@rootsweb.com Subject: RE: [OHPERRY] Dishon & Skinner OK, I figured some relationship or other.
